Hi, I'm Cate. I have a small hobby farm. I raise: chicken, bees, goats & grow fruits & vegies. I will soon be adding a greenhouse. I'm relatively new to all this stuff so it's nice to read post of others.

Hi all! I'm Becca. I live in Illinois and have a very small yard. Started my own garden this year with a few raised beds and I'm looking forward to adding more next year. We live in town so farm animals are a no no right now but maybe someday. Love reading all the info that you all give so keep posting your pics and experiences! Thanks!!! :)

Hi Becca, Kevin From Kansas, I do raised beds, But it gets so hot here and plants will die out fast, so what I do is plant my crops in the gutters not the hills. I also have a timed watering system with micro hose, I have yet to loose any crops like I did n the past. www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-Corp-Drip-and-Micro-Sprinkler-Kit-GE200/202829012

Hello Kevin:)

Thanks for helping out another member man! I use a drip system as well. We had a bad drought this year in Ca and drip is the way to go! Not only that but mulching is a must!

If you look on this video you can see little drip heads on my planter boxes:)
