For several moths now i have been using soap berries to wash my clothes in a front loading washer. I love the results.
Easy to use:
- Put 5-6 shells (1/2 oz) in wash bag and tie closed.
- Toss in directly in washer with laundry. Don't overstuff load.
- Reuse 5-8 times or until spent (turn grey). (Based on actual user experiences - no exaggeration.)
- Used shells are compostable and excellent when used as a nutrient rich garden mulch.
Used berries can also be boiled and made into a cleaning product for the house. The cleaner makes floors and crystal shine. it a natural anti bacterial too, so you can clean your counter tops with it.
Consider giving soap berries a try. I bought a 3 lb bag on Amazon, but it will take me years to go through them.
