For several moths now i have been using soap berries to wash my clothes in a front loading washer. I love the results.

Easy to use:
- Put 5-6 shells (1/2 oz) in wash bag and tie closed.
- Toss in directly in washer with laundry. Don't overstuff load.
- Reuse 5-8 times or until spent (turn grey). (Based on actual user experiences - no exaggeration.)
- Used shells are compostable and excellent when used as a nutrient rich garden mulch.

Used berries can also be boiled and made into a cleaning product for the house. The cleaner makes floors and crystal shine. it a natural anti bacterial too, so you can clean your counter tops with it.

Consider giving soap berries a try. I bought a 3 lb bag on Amazon, but it will take me years to go through them.

That's awesome!! I wonder if they will repel mosquitoes:) I may have to pick up some of these to try it out! How are they with stains?

More saponins are released in hot water. For tougher stains or heavily soiled items, use a warm wash setting, or soak your small bag of soap berries in hot water for a few minutes before use.
