Went to collect my eggs this morning and found a huge egg in the picture the first egg is her normal egg what happened to make the second egg so

Looks like you've got yourself a double yoker. Eggs sometimes turn out deformed or extra large/small. This happens and you should not be worried about your chicken as long as you don't get deformed eggs everyday.

An extra large egg is just and extra large blessing. :)

As your girls get older they will lay bigger and bigger eggs as well:) When you crack this one open be ready to take a photo to see if it is a double yoker! I have personally never got one yet:(

When is a chicken considered past her prime? My girl is 2 1/2 never really knew when they are considered "old"
