Snails and slugs ruining my garden 12 Apr 2014 19:05 #1109

Hi everyone!
I saw on YouTube where coffee grounds were good for ridding your garden of snails and slugs; however it did not specific if they can or should be dry grounds or use grounds. Can someone please help me. Also any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am new to gardening. Thank you in advance for your help.

Pine needles and sand keep slugs away, I think snails too, but I'm not sure. Hope you get rid of them!

Is it the texture of the pine needles or the actual oils in it?
