Matt, would it be possible to have a forum on raising rabbits? I have this huge fenced in back yard and would like to raise rabbits as a food source. Must they be caged or could I just allow them to roam in my back yard? I detest having to put animals in a cage!!!

Thank you in advance

Yes we can, I just need time to get everything else dialed in so let's plan on adding something before spring is here.

Sorry, work, family life, web stuff has just been a lot for me lately:)

I may do the rabbit one sooner than later though.

CD, we just started raising rabbits a couple of months ago.

When we started raising bees and chickens I took months to look up everything I thought I needed to know about them before actually taking the dive into getting them.
The rabbits I figured well my sister had one when we were young how hard could it be? So we built the cages and I had grand ideas of free ranging them using some fencing to keep them out of my gardens. We got 3 rabbits before doing my research and well I found out that adult female rabbits do not usually get along with each other and the two females we got tried fighting through their cages. so we had to put cardboard between them and then decided to separate them with the buck in between. So anyhow all my dreams of letting them roam around together went away. but we do plan on making some rabbit tractors this spring.
