My sweetheart (Rochelle) tried using the sun to dehydrate our tomatoes and it worked really good:) We did not have many bugs come around but we were ready because we would have gotin some sort of netting to cover the tomatoes while they were drying!

I have done both over the years Dyhdrater and sun dried and loved both ways never took pics so dont have nothing to show but hoping later to have :)

I have found out overtime that certain tomatoes taste really good dehydrated and others not so much. For instance, I've tried dehydrating the zebra tomatoes and honestly they didn't come out to tasty. Now Brandywine's on the other hand, those were so good dehydrated:)
