I live in the city on a small city lot in Michigan. The soil is mostly heavy clay and the many old tree have created a gridlock of roots under the ground. The only way I saw fit to have a garden was using raised beds. Here is a picture of my back yard now. Just last week I had 12 yards of nice wood chips given to me. No more grass.

Wow, that is one beautiful garden you have there!!! Have you seen the movie Back to Eden? It is a great little movie and it's free online! The guy that made the movie shares the benefits on mulching with woodchips:)

Welcome to the new website by the way! Be sure to update your profile so we can see who you are:)

I fixed it so no big deal:) If you read through the welcome page it covers just about everything. I also made some videos that are posted to the welcome page to show members how to use each area.
