I have built in raised beds now but here are a couple ideas I thought you guys would like but please share your ideas below:)

Planting right in the soil bag!

I find planting in a straw bale works best when you let it sit in your chickens run so they can poop on it for the winter months! B)

Believe it or not, I actually don't have any raised beds. Just the outside tilled in the ground garden. :)

Hi, just joined you site. I look forward to following the posts. This is my raised bed idea that doubles as partial coop protection from digging animals. Under the pallets is wire.

Very cool Marcie!! I am assuming you planted something for the chickens to eat. ;) I have to say that is one awesome coop!! When you can we want to see your coop (inside and out), your chickens, and anything else around the homestead!

We have a little contest going on so put your guess in HERE!

Happy your with us! :woohoo:

Thank you, I love my coop :) My husband did a wonderful job building it for me. As for the inside I designed it. I wanted it to be a place to make me smile when I went to collect the eggs. This is a pieced together panoramic view.

With the garden yes there is plenty for the chicken's to eat and in the flower boxes I planted some edible herbs for them.

Here are my raised beds that my husband built me last year. I may have shared this on here last year. He used old barn beams from his parent's barn that fell down. I love them! Wish I had more!
