We uses our chickens to aid in the composting piles. They like to scratch in the compost piles to get the worms and scraps that they can find, so they keep it turning for us then we just do a couple of total turnovers and then we have wonderful dark rich dirt!
I love our lil chicken minions *smile*

Chicken minions is the right words for it!! It is pretty awesome that you guys don't have to turn your compost due to the chickens having access:) Just rake it right back in the place and they'll come each day I'm sure! Love the garden and I really love the chicken tunnel aka chunnel!
