Meet Barry White. He is a Blue Chochin rooster.

When we first got Barry, the kids were going to name him "Mr. Fluffy Pants"; that is, until we heard him crow. He has the deepest sounding crow of any rooster I've ever heard. The name was easy.

The singer by the same name was known as quite the ladies man. This holds true with our Barry White as well. He is one of 3 roosters among 41 hens and all the hens love him! In the spring he does a little dance and the the hens literally lay down for him.

We love him because of his personality, not only is he beautiful, he's a great tempered roo! He keep the ladies (and the other roosters) in line and watches over all of them.

Thanks, Barry is super nice! He won't let us pick him up or anything, but he doesn't come at us like one of our roosters does :ohmy: , He keeps everyone in check. Luckily, we live out in the sticks, so we can have roosters! Which means we can hatch baby chicks too!

I need to look into building a trade style area into our site but that's going to take some work. I wonder if anyone knows how to pack up the eggs for shipping. I would much rather buy chickens from you than from the local area:) I would like myself and the kids to see the whole process from Meg to hatching!
