I love hatching babies! My hubby got a new incubator for me this year and this is my first hatch in it! Holds 48 but had problems with too many hands trying to help it out and the humidity would go too high then too cold from my kids wanting to see and help out Mom. So out of 36 guinea eggs, only 20 or so hatched. I tried some duck eggs in it to fill the empty holes, but they were not viable. So I filled the holes with hen eggs and they all hatched. I now have 15 guinea keets and 7 barred rock and cinnamon queen mix chicks. I even have 1 that is from my legbar and barred rock. I only have 1 roo, a strong barred rock purebred. He was one of the two roos I bought last year. But he wasn't the dominant one. He is now, though. The other one kept chasing and flogging my kids and me. So.....he went bye bye. Plus he wasn't very fertile. This roo is very good!!!
