Hello everyone!!

When my chickens where little I used to find lots of little bugs for them to eat but they LOVED rollie pollies. They still like them but only when they are not getting lots of scraps. These little bugs break down chicken waste and there are normally lots of them if you give them a safe place to hid in the day.

Here is a little idea to get them into your chicken run.
  • Place down some manure and compost in your chickens run when the girls are in bed.
  • Water it down really good.
  • Cover it with old scrap wood or cardboard.

The pill bugs will come running (along with other chicken treats) and all you will have to do is lift up the cover and boom! Meat for the girls:)
