Hello All,
I am a married 40 year old woman who moved to Texas in June of 2012 after living in Vermont for 16 years. I love that my growing/garden time is longer down here. I am also getting chicks next week and have the brooder all set and ready to go. Just love this page..and hope to get some good ideas and advise from y'all.

Welcome to the new site!! Longer growing season is an awesome thing for sure. What kinds of chickens are you getting? I have 3 girls... A Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, and a Rhode Island Red. Yes, my kids named them, Buff = Doughnut, Barred Rock = Ninja, and Red = Red;)
